Associate Contract Billing Specialist (NA)

Summary:

At SolarWinds, the Contract Billing Specialist manages complex billing readiness activities for multi-year subscription agreements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and revenue protection. This role operates with high independence, collaborating with Sales, Renewals, Finance, and Order Management teams to identify risks, resolve billing challenges, and enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and proactively engage with a portfolio of complex Year 2 and Year 3 subscription billing accounts.
• Resolve escalated customer billing inquiries and contract-related concerns, ensuring timely closure of billing readiness activities.
• Review and validate subscription contracts, pricing structures, billing schedules, and entitlement information.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve contract, pricing, or system-related issues with minimal supervision.
• Analyze billing readiness pipeline to identify operational and revenue risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and billing controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, providing guidance on billing processes and customer readiness requirements.
• Support onboarding and knowledge-sharing activities for new team members.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Order Management, Billing Operations, Sales Operations, Renewals Operations, Contract Administration, or Revenue Operations.
• Strong understanding of SaaS, subscription billing, and recurring revenue models.
• Advanced knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Experience managing complex customer accounts and contract structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and subscription lifecycle processes.
• Experience participating in operational improvement initiatives.
