Software Engineer - Entra ID

Staff Product Manager, Databases

Location: US - Remote

About Us

Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK) is the Security and AI Operations Company, delivering one platform built at the intersection of data, identity, and AI. The platform enables agentic cyber resilience and trusted AI operations for enterprises worldwide, built to recover before disruption strikes and stay a step ahead, so security is never the reason ambition stalls.

About the Product Management Team

At Rubrik, our Product Management team is at the forefront of defining the strategy and driving execution to strengthen our leading platform for cyber-resilience. We are dedicated to meeting the ever-changing data management and security needs of our customers and wear multiple hats throughout the different stages in the product lifecycle and set the vision for our growing family of products. As advocates for both our users and our business, Product Managers balance varied perspectives and empower their teams to do great work.

About the Role

When a bank or a hospital loses a critical database to ransomware or a bad change, nobody asks about backup schedules. They ask how fast it's back and whether they can trust what came back. Your job is to make Rubrik the answer to both questions for Oracle.

You'll join the Databases product team with Oracle as your first focus, and own it end to end, from strategy to the outcomes customers see. Oracle is one of the hardest workloads we protect. Our customers run their most important systems on it. You'll also lead work that spans several databases, with the PMs who own them as partners.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Product Management, Databases. You'll work with engineering teams in the US and India.

What You'll Do

Own the Oracle roadmap. Set how Rubrik protects and recovers Oracle across RAC, Exadata, Data Guard, on-premises and cloud. Weigh recovery speed against data loss and effort, and make the call.

Be the product voice with customers. Run deep dives with DBAs, present to executives when the stakes are high, and explain where Rubrik fits next to Oracle's own tools and other vendors.

Turn escalations into product. When a restore matters, you're on the call for product, alongside support, engineering and the customer's DBAs and executives. Bring a plan, then fix the cause in the product.

Drive work across databases. Lead initiatives that span several databases, such as recovering whole applications in the right order and proving that backups restore, and help decide which databases we protect next.

Choose with evidence. Use customer conversations, usage and support data to make the business case for what to build and what to defer. Write requirements engineers trust, with your reasoning shown.

Launch and land. Give sales engineers the positioning and training they need, and join the field on large enterprise deals. Work with partners such as Oracle and Everpure, and track adoption after launch.

What Success Looks Like

In 3 months, you've met customers, sales engineers and support. You know where Oracle protection works well and where customers need more, and you've written your view of the roadmap.

In 6 months, you're the go-to person for Oracle at Rubrik, and your roadmap shapes what engineering builds.

In 12 months, you've shipped improvements Oracle customers notice. You're leading a cross-database initiative with engineering, and you've fixed the root cause of a problem customers kept raising.

What You'll Bring

Hands-on experience with Oracle backup and recovery. You can explain how RMAN backups, archived redo logs and point-in-time recovery work, and what Data Guard and RAC change. You've run Oracle in production, supported it or built products for it, and you can go deep on architecture with engineers.

Typically 8+ years of product management for technical enterprise products, or equivalent years as a DBA, solutions architect or sales engineer whose calls changed what a team built or bought. You don't need a PM title, but tell us what you changed.

Comfort in front of customers at every level, from a room of DBAs to a CIO.

Clear, precise writing and speaking. You can turn a messy situation into a short doc that gets a decision.

A zero-to-one mindset. You'll write the plan for work that doesn't have one yet, and do what needs doing whatever your title says.

Fluency with AI tools in how you research and write.

Nice to Have

Experience with Exadata, Oracle Database Appliance, or Oracle Database on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS or Azure.

Experience with other enterprise databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Db2.

Background in data protection, disaster recovery or cyber resilience.

Experience working with customers in banking, insurance, healthcare or government.

You may not match every line. If you've owned recovery for another enterprise database or for storage, and you've worked with Oracle, apply and tell us how you'd learn the rest.

Staff Product Manager, Databases

About the team:

Rubrik's mission is to secure and accelerate the world's AI transformation. IT is where we apply that to ourselves. We're moving Rubrik's own enterprise off a traditional application stack and onto an intelligent one.
Our goal is what we call the Thinking Enterprise: applications that run the business instead of just recording it. They learn from our data, act through our agents, and improve with each decision. That work is already underway, and we'd like you to help build it.
We build the internal products our Accounting, Controllership, and Tax teams use every day, the tools that decide how fast we close the books and how much we can trust the numbers.

About the role:

In our approach to accounting, agents understand the chart of accounts, the accounting policy, and the transaction in front of them, and they carry an entry from the source event through to a posted, audit-ready record.
If you're curious about why every task on the close calendar sits where it does, and whether most of those tasks can be run by agents as the work happens, so that only the final close needs to be locked down and compliant; if you know which steps can be questioned and rebuilt and which must follow the rules every time; and if you're excited about shortening the close by removing manual effort, then you're in the right place.

What you'll do:

Lead product strategy for accounting (general ledger, close, intercompany, reconciliations, fixed assets, Sub-ledger accounting, and commissions), rebuilding rather than patching.

Bring an AI-first approach, introducing agents, evals, and automation into real accounting workflows with audit-level stakes.

Design how agents are built and tested: break complex accounting work into well-scoped steps, define evals, and set clear human-in-the-loop checkpoints for approvals and audit-sensitive decisions.

Apply first-principles thinking, taking a legacy close task, asking why it exists, and building what replaces it.

Own the vision and roadmap for next-generation accounting capabilities, from journal entry to financial statements.

Prototype quickly with AI tools, validating logic, data flows, and control points before engineering engages.

Partner with finance system developers (onsite and offshore), AI architects, Internal Audit, and vendors to turn prototypes into scalable, SOX-compliant products; lead UAT, training, and adoption through go-live and beyond.

Experience you'll need:

Prior experience building accounting or financial products at a product company, on Oracle, SAP, or Workday Financials, as a product manager, product owner, or architect.

Hands-on delivery of AI-enabled or agentic workflows in an enterprise. Even if you've taken only one module to production, you can explain how you broke it down, how you evaluated it, and where the model did and didn't earn its keep.

Deep understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP, ASC 606) and the end-to-end close. We're looking for people who understand the full capability, not just operators.

8+ years across product management, finance systems, or accounting operations in enterprise, or a body of work that speaks louder than the year count.

Track record of turning complicated accounting and finance problems into simple, scalable products.

SOX and audit fluency, and experience leading onsite/offshore delivery teams.

Comfort with AI tooling: you use AI-assisted coding and low-code tools to prototype and test ideas quickly.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to align Controllership, Tax, Accounting Operations, Internal Audit, and executive leadership (including CFO staff) behind a bold direction.

Nice to have: NetSuite, Xactly, and Blackline/FloQast experience; working knowledge of P2P and O2C.

Senior IT Product Manager, Accounting

About Rubrik and the team

Rubrik is on a mission to secure the world’s data. With our Zero Trust Data Security™ platform, we help organizations achieve business resilience against cyberattacks, malicious insiders, and operational disruptions. Rubrik protects data wherever it lives—across enterprise, cloud, and SaaS—and delivers data observability, orchestration, and recovery at scale.

The Information Technology team at Rubrik influences business processes, employee experience, and technologies to scale our organization to $1B+. This team creates operational efficiency across the company by centralizing the management of Infrastructure, Technology, and Data. The IT team ensures all stages of the software development lifecycle in a secured environment and scrutinizes the deployment of proper processes along with governance. They champion Rubrik on Rubrik and are the first customers of the Engineering teams at Rubrik. We're transforming global infrastructure, and we’re looking for bold thinkers and builders to join us. If you're passionate about making an impact and shaping the future of cloud and platform infrastructure—we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

The Enterprise AI team is Rubrik’s internal AI enablement engine. We evaluate where AI can make a real difference, build the platforms and patterns that make adoption easy, and help engineering teams across the organization work smarter and faster. We operate at the intersection of applied AI, distributed systems, and enterprise operations — our job is to make Rubrik more efficient, one AI-powered workflow at a time.
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy team where you’ll work closely with engineering, product and operations teams across Rubrik to bring AI capabilities to life.

We’re hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the platform and backend systems that power Rubrik at scale. You’ll own core infrastructure — from Kubernetes and cloud-native services to APIs and developer tooling — and work closely with product, AI, and security teams. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you write production code, design systems, lead code reviews, and make the engineering organization more effective.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of major platform initiatives, from design through deployment and post-launch success.

Own Kubernetes at depth — clusters, networking, operators, container lifecycle, and multi-tenant orchestration.

Design, develop, and optimize distributed services and cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP for scale, reliability, and performance.

Drive engineering excellence through code quality standards, design reviews, automation, and CI/CD best practices.

Collaborate across teams — Product, AI, and Security — to align architecture with business objectives.

Be a mentor and multiplier, guiding engineers through architecture decisions, trade-offs, and delivery.

Partner with leadership to align engineering strategy with product objectives and technical roadmap.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Required

9+ years of software engineering with deep backend and infrastructure focus.

Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go — you ship production code, not just scripts and configs.

Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience — building and operating clusters, not just deploying to them.

Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.

Cloud-native fluency across AWS and/or GCP — compute, storage, IAM, networking and managed services.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar) and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with applied AI tooling and patterns — agentic AI tools (Claude, LiteLLM), AI gateways, agent frameworks — and being able to build backend services that integrate with them.

Strong system design and architectural judgment.

Clear communicator who partners well across product, security, and AI teams.

Preferred

Observability stacks — Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry.

Multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, on-prem).

Familiarity with API gateways, AI gateways, and policy/authorization frameworks (ABAC,
OPA).

Service mesh or platform-as-a-service design experience.

Track record of improving engineering productivity at scale.

Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise AI

About the Team & Role

The Platform Security Engineering team builds the security features and frameworks that every Rubrik product runs on protecting hundreds of petabytes of data across thousands of enterprise customers globally, from encryption and certificate management to access control and platform hardening at scale. We're a small team with massive impact: the problem space covers the entire Rubrik portfolio, from performant core backend architecture to the AI-powered engineering workflows we and the rest of Rubrik now build with daily.

This is a strong opportunity for new grads and early-career engineers who want real ownership on security-critical systems. You'll help solve problems like:

How do we roll out post-quantum cryptography across the backup data path before it's an industry requirement?

How do we let customers manage sessions and access against compromise, at enterprise scale?

How do we build an access control engine that holds up against dynamic, customer-defined policies unique to a data management platform?

How do we secure the AI agents and agentic developer workflows that are now embedded in how Rubrik engineers ship code?

You'll work alongside experienced engineers and deeply technical managers who will mentor you as you grow, on a roadmap with genuine business impact.

What You'll Do

Security feature development

Design and steer AI to write clean, well-tested code in Go, Scala, or Python for scalable, secure platform services.

Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture decisions.

Identify attack surfaces and build solutions to harden Rubrik products.

Triage, debug, and drive product/system issues to resolution with clear ownership.

Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows as a core part of your daily engineering, while learning to treat AI-generated code as untrusted input that gets the same security scrutiny as any other contribution.

Security code and design reviews

Review code and design docs from other teams to flag security concerns before they ship.

Help extend our review practices to cover AI-powered features and AI agents as they become part of Rubrik's product surface.

Contribute to secure coding guidelines and evangelize them across engineering.

Team collaboration

Partner with Product Management, UI/UX, docs, InfoSec, and support to turn security requirements into shipped features.

Participate in planning, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.

How We Build and Secure with AI

AI isn't a side note for this team, it's part of the job on both sides:

As builders: you'll use AI coding assistants and agentic tools as part of your normal workflow, the same way the rest of Rubrik engineering does.

As security engineers: you'll help define what "secure" means for AI-generated code, AI-powered features, and autonomous agents acting inside Rubrik's infrastructure, an active, fast-moving part of our roadmap.

What We're Looking For

Required

Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

0-2 years of software development experience (internships, personal projects, and bootcamps count).

Strong fundamentals in at least one language (Go, Java, Python, C++, or similar) and in data structures, algorithms, and testing.

Genuine interest in security, curious about how systems break and motivated to build things that don't.

A proactive, self-directed learning style; comfortable asking questions and diving into ambiguity.

Preferred

Coursework, personal projects, or internships in cybersecurity, cryptography, or systems security.

Comfort with Linux/Unix, Git, and basic networking (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS).

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or agentic dev tools (Claude Code, Copilot, or similar).

Interest in open-source security tooling or the broader security community.

What Makes a Great Candidate

Beyond the qualifications above, the traits that predict success on this team:

Thinks critically - can analyze problems and reason through potential security implications, not just implement what's asked.

Collaborates well - enjoys working with others and learning from teammates across disciplines.

Pays attention to detail - understands that small details matter in security.

Growth & Mentorship

You'll be paired with senior engineers who invest directly in your growth. Over time, expect to build real depth in:

Applied cryptography, secure protocol design, and threat modeling.

Distributed systems, API design, and system-level security testing.

Security code review — spotting vulnerability patterns in both human- and AI-written code.

Technical communication, documentation, and (as you grow) mentoring others yourself.

We back this with a dedicated mentorship program, regular tech talks and learning sessions, and support for security conferences and training.

Why Join Shield Platform?

The best entry point into security engineering we know of: direct ownership on mission-critical production systems that safeguard Fortune 500 enterprises and critical infrastructure worldwide, mentorship from veteran security architects, and a forward-looking roadmap spanning post-quantum cryptography to AI agent security that puts you at the absolute forefront of enterprise security engineering.

Location : Bangalore
About Team & About Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) in the Continuous Product Delivery (CPD) team, you will play a key role in providing long term stability and last mile delight to our customers. You will work closely with the core engineering team, product, and support org.

You will be working across Rubrik releases on our on-premise data backup & management offering, with a focus on the identity and access layer that secures it. You are expected to develop a strong understanding of our product and engineering architecture — particularly how authentication and authorization flow through the system, including our integrations with enterprise identity providers, directory services, and certificate-based trust chains.

We are seeking a highly skilled Golang developer with deep, practical experience in identity protocols (OIDC/OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0) and applied cryptography/PKI. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and hardening the systems that authenticate users, machines, and services across our platform — reasoning carefully about threat models, not just shipping features. You should have strong programming and troubleshooting skills, excellent design skills, and a solid understanding of distributed systems, OS fundamentals, and networking.
