A Greenhouse application filled by refer.me, with the resume and cover letter attached

How the refer.me extension fills an application

  1. A Greenhouse job page with the refer.me prompt "Fill this with refer.me AI Apply?" in the corner

    1. Open a job application

On a Greenhouse, Ashby or Lever job page, refer.me offers to help as soon as the application form appears. On other sites, click the refer.me button in your Chrome toolbar.

  2. The application form being filled, with the refer.me panel open

    2. Press "Fill it for me"

refer.me fills the form in your own browser from your profile, the answers you saved and your resume. Each field lights up as it is filled.

  3. The refer.me panel listing three questions left for the candidate

    3. Check every answer, then press Submit

The refer.me panel lists anything left for you, such as questions only you can answer. Read the form, finish those and press the employer's Submit button yourself.

  4. The refer.me job board with the job marked "Filled by AI Apply"

    4. Track it on your job board

Every job you fill is saved on your refer.me job board. It moves to "Applied" when the employer confirms your application.

What it fills

  • Your name, email, phone, city, LinkedIn and other details from your refer.me profile.

  • Questions you have answered on refer.me before, such as work authorization and sponsorship.

  • Open questions, answered from your resume in your own voice. Nothing that is not on your resume is made up.

  • Your resume, attached for you.

  • A cover letter written for that job, when the form asks for one.

What it leaves for you

  • The Submit button. You read every answer and send the application yourself.

  • Consents and "I certify" boxes. You agree to those yourself.

  • Equal-opportunity questions you have no saved answer for. It picks the form's own "I don't wish to answer", or leaves them for you.

  • Anything it could not answer, listed in the refer.me panel so you can go straight to it.
